Welcome to Glenstar Labradors. We were introduced to the Labrador Retriever 27 years ago when we purchased a puppy primarily for a gundog/companion. Luke (Ch Goldaire Luke Skywalker) introduced us to the world of showing, breeding and field trialling our much loved breed. We are dedicated to breeding a sound Labrador that is first and foremost a wonderful family companion who can hunt in the field, look good in the show ring, or be specifically trained in various occupations. Drug detector work, hearing dog for the deaf, kiwi tracker dogs or alpine search and rescue to name a few of the occupations our dogs have been used for. We currently have Labradors in all three colours, black, chocolate and yellow, in our breeding programme.
We live 20 minutes drive from Christchurch city in the South Island of New Zealand. We are fortunate that it is a rural area and we have a pond and a stream on our property for the dogs to romp and play in.
